Lars Endel Roger Vilks (lahir 20 Jun 1946) ialah seorang seniman dari negara Sweden. Beliau dilahirkan di Helsingborg, Sweden. Bapanya dari Estonia dan ibunya warganegara Sweden. Beliau memperoleh ijazah Ph.D. dalam kajian sejarah seni daripada Lund University pada tahun 1987 dan bekerja di Oslo National Academy of the Arts dari 1988 hingga 1993. Dari 1997 hingga 2003 beliau merupakan professor dalam bidang teori seni di Bergen National Academy of the Arts. Sebagai seorang penggiat seni, Vilks sangat dikenali dengan “institutional theory of art”. Continue reading
Kira-kira 500 umat Islam berkumpul di depan kedutaan Sweden di ibu negara bagi menyatakan bantahan mereka terhadap tindakan tiga akhbar Sweden yang didakwa menghina Nabi Muhammad hari ini.
Sejurus selepas menunaikan solat Jumaat di masjid bersebelahan bangunan Tabung Haji di Jalan Tun Razak, mereka berarak di kedutaan tersebut, kira-kira 500 meter sahaja daripada tempat tersebut.
Kumpulan tersebut diketuai Ketua Pemuda PAS Nasrudin Hassan dan Presiden Gabungan Pelajar Melayu Semenanjung (GPMS) Jais Abdul Karim. Continue reading

BERLIN: As France has moved closer to a ban on burqas, German politicians are debating whether a similar measure was necessary in their own country, media reports said.
After a French parliamentary commission ruled earlier this week that the enveloping garment worn by some Islamic women is unacceptable and recommended a ban in schools and public offices, former Social Democratic parliamentarian, Turkish-German Lale Akgun urged for a similar ban in Germany. British National Party chairman, Nick Griffin, has criticized Islam and defended a Ku Klux Klan leader in an appearance on the BBC program, Question Time.
The BNP is a far-right British political party which only allows white Britons to become members. It won two seats in the European parliament in the May elections. The BNP already holds one of the 25 seats in the London assembly and a sprinkling of council seats around the country. However, the party does not have a representative in the UK parliament.
